Focus on Phonics is for parents, carers and all those interested in giving young children the best possible start in reading. We focus on the supply of high quality resources for helping children who are learning to read.
We know that parents can play an important role in supporting their child's learning and that many parents would like to help, but are not sure how to go about it.
We firmly believe that teaching children by synthetic phonics provides the best foundation for successful reading and writing. This method is about getting children to read quickly so they can move on to more creative work and access all the lovely books available. We recognise that not all children enjoy the process of learning to read - particularly if they find it difficult - and one way to help this is to make the learning process more fun.
If you want to give your child the best possible start in learning to read, we can help you - browse our range of excellent resources that have been selected with parents in mind. We have carefully chosen those books and activities that are suitable for helping develop children's reading skills at home.
